Electricity: Electricity is a field of science concerned with the generation, control, transmission, and distribution of electricity, as well as its use in heating, lighting, and power supply. Equally important, it includes the manufacturing, testing, and measurement of electrical equipment, in addition to the safe installation and maintenance of electrical systems in buildings.
Program Aim
The aim is to train Electrical Technicians who possess sufficient knowledge and skills in their profession, are highly qualified, self-confident, innovative, entrepreneurial, follow technological developments, and uphold the professional and ethical values needed to guide the future of our country's electrical sector.
Required Qualifications
Students who choose the Electrical Program should have an aptitude for quantitative sciences, the ability to think analytically, be productive, and develop solutions to problems. In addition, they must possess the ability to use fine motor skills, develop ideas and projects, have an assertive, entrepreneurial, and competitive spirit, enjoy reading and learning new things, be open to innovation and change, and be able to follow current economic and technological developments in every sector of the modern world.

Program Outcomes
A student who graduates from the Electrical Program generally gains the following knowledge, skills, and habits:
Knows the fundamental principles of electrical and electronic circuit components.
Recognizes semiconductor electronic circuit elements and knows the techniques for controlling electrical machinery and power systems with these elements.
Gains knowledge and application competence in maintenance and fault-finding techniques for electrical and electronic systems.
Learns the winding technique and project design of electrical machinery and performs its application through individual studies.
Learns to draw printed circuit and installation projects using computer-aided design programs.
Recognizes modern control circuits and gains the ability to program and use Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
Gains the skill to solve control problems using electrical control circuit elements.
Gains the knowledge and application competence in performing measurements in electrical and electronic circuits.
Recognizes electrical machinery and gains knowledge and application skills regarding its use and behavior.
Gains knowledge and application experience about electrical control units and power systems used in electrical circuits.
Acquires knowledge about the generation, distribution, and installation plans of electrical energy.
Employment Opportunities for Program Graduates
Graduates of the Electrical Program can work in public institutions, private businesses, non-governmental organizations, or establish their own businesses. They can find various job opportunities in the electrical, electronics, and communication (such as TELEKOM) sectors, in national and multinational companies, in public institutions such as EİE, TEİAŞ, EÜAŞ, TEDAŞ, in radio and TV broadcasting organizations, in organizations related to internet services, and in the health sector, within departments of project design, Research & Development (R&D), production, and marketing (sales representative) and technical promotion units.
